Parts is parts, it does have a few good ones. I saved it from the snapping jaws of the crusher.

I could use a bumper like that sometimes. Especially for those riding about 30 mph talking on the cell phone. With just one project and two frames sitting in my yard my wife thinks I'm starting a junk yard. If I brought all the stuff home that I wanted to she would probably leave me. Not really but it would be tough living around here. Harleyboy

Yes, I was going slow and it wasn't very far lol. Harleyboy I would send you the bumper for one good picture of the look on some text messagers face when you give them a boost.
I have a 48-49 Ford pickup at the same yard, just waiting for them to get it down, and there is a 56 Binder 3/4 ton 4x4 buried in there too.

Lots of junkyards with old stuff, most of them high priced. There are 2 here in town and one is a mean drunk that is impossible to deal with, the other one is a nice guy but always busy crushing scrap and the old stuff is something he plans to sell "someday". This truck I got from some good old boys that have a repair shop and a small time crusher out back. I bring them a suitcase of coors light once in a while and they like me real well. I needed a steering box they had and he used his forklift to yard the van out and bring it over to the air tools, helped me take it out and never charged me anything for it.

The cab looks great. I have a couple of that year model. The cabs are cool, but I never have liked the fenders. Roadster time.

Yeah, ugly front end on those. The cab is pretty much the same as a 40-41. He is supposed to have another one better than this coming in. So if you have 2 that makes a chop easier. I have yet to do my first chop so maybe this would be a good place to start. I have 37 fenders and grill I could use. Plus the 37 frame with wide 5s and juice brakes, 300-6 in the shed...hmmm...

From all I've ever seen or heard about North & South Dakota, there are more 30's - 40's cars and trucks up there than just about anywhere else. I reckon it's because compared to the rest of the U.S. The Dakota's are not as densely populated as other states so when they are done with it old iron just gets pulled out in the field and left alone where no one pays much attention to it. So what goes there stays there for years untouched until somebody finds it and buys it. Another reason is there aren't too many people like Willowbilly3 up there who can see beyond all that rust so they leave em alone.

The out of state deer hunters from back east have cleaned out most of the Ford coupes and models As years ago. The trucks were overlooked. There are pockets of treasure tho.
