I tell you... I get no respect!
My first car was a 68, 396-4-speed. Worked on a farm,in the summer to buy it.I was 15. 1976 Had to wait a few months to turn 16 and drive it on the road.I think I paid 800 or 900 something like that.

67-69 are my favorite, followed by the 70 1/2 -81 models. Never owned one, but had the Pontiac sister, a 1977 Firebird Formula. Any of them after 81 didn't really do it for me....
