Hi to all on this site. A good friend (Bob w) told me to check out RRR and I have had a great time going through a lot of the builds. I'm 64 years old, retired and have been front motor drag racing for the last 38 years. Some medical problems (OK now) have put a hold on my racing for now. :eek:I have not had a hot rod since high school and have never built one so this is going to be a "learning building" for me. Looks like a lot of good people and information on this site. I will need all the help I can get. Added a few shots of race car I have for sale and the RPU parts.

I just picked up a 1929 RPU basket project a few days ago and hope to start a build thread in a few weeks.:)

Welcome to RRR, Old28. There's plenty of willing folks here to give any help you may need. Tho, I kinda think that you'll be OK with your racing experience. You also have bobw right there.

Thanks for all the nice replies. I am sure I will be asking a lot of questions during the build. You guys are right, Bob w is one real fine guy. I meet him on the HAMB while he was building his HA/GR. I only wish we were a little closer so we could do some racing (2500 miles is a little far) for both of us. The guy has more home shop fab ability than I could ever hope for & he's fast!:D

Yes Bob that is a 401 Nailhead with fresh parts in the short block, heads need to be done to make it nice reliable motor. Motor was never run after lower rebuild. I will pull it down and check everything just to be sure ( the old drag racer in me).:D
