seems that speedway bought the assets but they still have the
florida shop under a new name, King T llc.

Thats interesting--a sign of the economic times?.. TP sells a good low $ bare front axle--$125-- I've got a couple from them for Econoline spindels.

Maybe not too good for us though--less competition. The T has quite a lot of builders, probably a tough market.

I just heard the news too. I think Mickey is just getting older and also saw the handwriting on the wall for the economic future of his company. Things are not good for so many businesses now, and they are probably no exception.

He is supposedly going to continue business under that King T name right here in Daytona Beach Florida. I wish him well.

I was a little surprised to see a couple of bodies he had displayed at his booth this year at Turkey Run.........they were not very good. The most notable problem was huge parting lines at every seam, and they were a different color than previous bodies. These were black and the previous ones were gray or white. Not that the color makes a difference, but I wondered to myself if he was buying a cheaper body to cut costs.
