NOPE, NOPE, NOPE...not today, not tomorrow, not anytime soon. I used to fly airplanes for fun, but that's plain nuts. Those foot peg/hand holds sure do get smaller as he goes up. He never has to be afraid of me taking his job!

you do understand that it is biblical to be afraid of heights? I think it plainly states in black and white the Lord says "Lo, I am with you always". That tells me I need to stay low....no heights!:D:D:D:D

my little brother saw that last stretch of pole and pegs and said " pretty sure thats the worst ladder ever to have there"

- its not the height that bothers me still - its the fact that the construction of the the towers doesnt seem like it ever takes into consideration that someone will have to service those things -

in my 20's i was a iron worker, now 49 and i don't think i can do it anymore. i'll stick to the machine shops.

Both of those make me sick to my stomach. I steelhead fish in Hell's Canyon in the winter and hike a couple miles. There is a place that is narrow and has a rock that forces you to lean over at a 30 degree angle over a 30 foot dropoff and I can hardly do that.

oh yea!

NOW THAT TOWER IS WAAAAAY UP THERE!
I worked for a company a year and a half ago for 2 months when I was laid off from my regular job climbing cell phone towers. The highest I had to climb for audits was 360 ft. and after 2 months:eek:.............................Enough is Enough! Let me stay on the ground! It was cool at first and then................................. NOPE I'll stay on the solid ole ground! Getting too old for that stuff!

My 19 year old grandson, Zack (Zacho here on RRR, '38 GMC truck build) is in Wind Energy Tech. school. This summer he worked on mainly cell phone towers. He was up to 500 feet. Yikes! And I had to hire a guy to paint the parts of my house higher than 8 feet.
