I haven't had a tv for about a year, even though I had the fibre optic service with my phone/internet package. So I got a tv and plugged it in, forgot how really brainless it is. I watched some truck overhauling show yesterday that would insult the intelligence of Forrest Gump. It was like escapees from Elf Bowling and the high light was busting out the lights with hammers and seeing how far they could hurl discarded parts (ala monster garage). insert heavy sigh, wondering if evolution has been shifted into reverse.

I really don't watch much TV. For one thing I can't stand sitting through seemingly endless strings of commercials. If I do tune in, what I mostly watch is the Turner Classic Movie channel (TCM). Lots of 40'a and 50's movies and no commercials. The hundreds of so called "reality" shows that are so popular these days make me want to vomit. Even many shows that would be informative now have useless drama injected into them that ruin it for me. I reckon I'm just out of touch but so be it.

I hear you. I usually record shows I want to watch and then fast forward through the commercials. It's incredible how little content and how many commercials there are in a 1 hour show, saves a ton of time!

I had the opportunity to be on Monster Garage and turned it down. When I first showed interest it was a pretty good show, but they seemed to focus on the injected drama of personality conflict by the time they offered me a spot.
There are very few good build shows on the **** tube.

I wonder if any rodders have a tube in the ride!

I never found anything on the ****tube worth reckless driving!:p
