I'm not sure exactly what you are using the horn on or where you plan to mount it, but what about something like these trumpet horns. These are for a Harley, but just an idea.

not for cosmetic purposes... more for the "shock and awe" of it. i want something not real commom but i also dont want to have something cheesy sounding. its going to be in the engine compartment of a truck.

Hmmmm. Maybe you could get a big old vintage 6 volt horn and run it on a 12 volt system. My dad said they used to do that back in the day.

Any old six volt horn with 12 volts pumped through it, usually sounds good........!
