This is my trike, built from the front suspension of an Olds Toronado. The engine is an Olds 350, shaved, bored, stroked, balanced, about 325 hp. The trike weighs around 1900#, so the power-to weight ratio is pretty good. This thing runs!![ddd

I like it! I guess I'm just not fimiliar with the setup.

Nice work neighbor!

Thanks!! I've built a couple others with FWD setups,; they make a great trike. Independent rear suspension, disk brakes, weight in the rear instead of the front, no radiator or fuel hoses in front to shower you if they break.

Mike, that started out as the same trike you saw. I rebuilt the engine and transaxle, changed the seats, fenders, rear tires and wheels, new cv joint/axles, fuel tank, lights, gauges, handlebars, etc. Almost everything from the frame up.

Sam, the other two were based on a Citation and a Fiero. Those two basically use all the same parts, just different K-frames . They were both V6's (2.8L) automatics. They both had one-off fiberglass bodies I built. This one is pretty bare bones.

Years ago I had a friend who put the older 455 w/trans axle from a 69 Toronado in the back of an old Subaru Wagon, while retaining all the Subaru's original drive train up front. He'd drive it around with the front engine until someone wanted to race. Then he'd put the Suby in neutral and fire up the Toro in the back.

WOW!!

This is what i had planned on building before i decided to do the rat rod. When my rat is done im definatly gonna build one of these.

How hard is it to find the tornado setup? It may be a couple years but ill be buggin ya with questions one day.

I want a pretty bare ratty trike setup to match my truck. Love it! RR
