Need you're opinions guys i have an 02 silverado thinking for trading for a 1950 pontiac chieftain catalina 2 door with title and running body is clean all electrical redone. What you guys think?

Do you have another vehicle for your d.d? Pictures of each would also help. Any floor/body rot and are the "book" values close in price? In the end, it depends on whether or not you really want to do the trade. Just your questioning indicates that you are not whole heartedly into the trade.

Yup, still need a daily, plus what is your truck worth? 02 Sillverado, 4x4? 1/2ton? 1 Ton dually? gas? diesel? you know, all that stuff.

Won't be using it as daily driver, my truck is a 1/2 ton single cab with some extras I use my truck maybe like 3 a week. The car has a bit of work to be done inside besides that its good. How rare are these cars? I'll try to post a pic. Thanks for the feedback guys.

IMO it's not worth as Much as your truck. A lot of it depends on your location also.

Just because its rare don't always mean it's worth more. What do you think your truck is worth? And what are they asking for the car? Look on ebay, Craigslist, and any other classifieds and see what comparable cars have for asking prices. On eBay you can see what they have sold for.

your truck is a $7500-$8500

The 50 Pontiac is a $3500 - $4000 at best

Your call

Mississippi is pretty wet and humid - not the best place for a classic car to come from.

Unless that car has A/C, upgraded powertrain, etc I'd say it's not a good trade.

I'm in Houston and see cars like that on craigslist all the time for about $3-4k in that condition. I think you'd be better off selling the truck outright and buying something from elsewhere in Texas and having it shipped for $500 down to you.

If you can get $8k for your truck, that buys a pretty darn nice classic car around here.
