Dang it Bob. Now I'm going to see this in my head for the next couple of days. I'm convinced I could pull it off without too much trouble. The main issue would be the cost of the blown, injected hemi.

Do you guys remember an A100 done by a trucking magazine a long time ago. Popular Hot Rodding did a blown 33' Ford P/U at the same time. The Dodge had a mid-engine blown BBC, lowered, 14" tires on back. It was black with flames over the front of the cab. I always wondered what happened to that truck. Oh, it had a chopped top too.

The A100 ran 10's against the 33' Ford. The Ford ran high 11's with a 4-71 blown SBC.

(Gastricks probably got pictures,,,) :D:D:D

Gastrick,
that is a MEAN drawing of an A100, in the late 80s I built a 65 A100 w/ 15X3.5 and 15X10 slotted aluminums and a 70 Stage 1 Buick 455/th400 and had 3.55 suregrip. It was a Handfull and someday I will build another, thanks for the Pic.

Jim

p.s. in 1990 I had a 69 Dodge van w/ a wild 440/727 3.91 suregrip engine moved back 19 1/2"s and ran 11.74 @ 117 ( miss both of them) and dangled the front tires.

Warpony!

Look what I found at my house!!!!:D

My buddy had a van like this he called... The War Pony!!! It was a retired laundry delivery van & had bars in the back for hanging the clothes. We used to hang on to the bars & my buddy would get going about 40mph... slam on the brakes & we'd go horizontal. Lucky we didn't go though the windshield! Kids!!!

Trip,
Sounds familiar. I had a scout master that liked the grape. He had a 50 Merc. When we went camping he get out on a dirt road, we'd climb on the car and hang on, trunk, roof, hood etc. Then he'd get going 10 maybe 15mph and slam on the brakes....whoever was left on the car won!!!
