ok , if anyone has read the post i been puttin up about my trip, i need some advice,,
1. i need a donor truck for the cab and bed , but money is tight, like i aint got none
2 i have the 42 truck it pretty much done and a solid truck i could sell to raise the money!
3 use the 42 and be done in a short time!

i hate to take this truck aprt, but not sure what to do,
i would sell the truck for about 3000, if i new it would selll quick,
but the way things are right now, i dont think anyone is buying!

so i need some sound advice about this , cause i am ready to start, and the cheapest truck i have found is 800, but i will really only be gettin a cab!
the first 2 pic is of my old truck. i want to build another,
the last pic is of the 42 i will have to chop up!

im with the other folks on this one. you have a great donor truck right there. you could take the parts off you dont use and sell them, so you might be able to get out of the deal with the truck you want for free (or even make some money)

I don't know...seems like a shame to chop up that complete truck just to use the cab...jus' sayin'...

I'm with 'Fink on this. Seems a shame to tear apart a really decent truck just for a cab. What kind of cab and bed are you looking for?

anything 46 and older, as long as the cab is solid!
i found a 1 1/2 ton in greta shape, for 800, and found a1/2 ton, for 1500, but the guys cuzin said i could get nit for 800, complete truck but a little ruff
! the bad thing is , my 42 has power steerin rack & pinion power brakes , 350 3speed manual, late model 3.50 gear rear end, heat, tilt & telescopic steering colume! late model wiring harness! dailey driver,! its cool but not what i want!,

well i guess i am going to put the 42 up for sale at least till april! 3000.00 gets it!
and if it dont sell i am going to take it apart and build the bobber, i will use it for the lay out till then! car shows are starting back up soon so before i take it apart i will drive it to them and see if it sells but if not! by may i should have everything done to put the cab and bed on , and be done ready to head out on the trip to bonneville!
