Ah man! Best looking Ford truck ever! I lost out on one on eBay 5-6 years ago that looked about like that. Got beat by $25.

I originally traded for it planning on just flipping it for some college money for my daughter. But it's growing on me fast and the cogs are turning. Just leave the body like it is (hang the back fenders, tailgate and bumper). dropped front axle, wide 5s all around and maybe a nailhead, olds or caddy engine.
I wonder how a Y block would fit? I have a buddy who has a 292 with 3 dueces and ECZ-G heads that I could get.

An old Ford pickup is money in the bank....everybody wants an old Ford...do what you gotta do to make it driveable...hang a stupid money price tag on it and maybe make money for the college fund....

The Y-block is exactly what I would do. Those old Y's look awesome all cleaned up, in hot rod guise. It should fit very easily in there.
