HAVE A HOOD FOR MY CAR THATS NOT INSTALLED YET,CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE IT WORK, WHERE CAN I GET AND WHAT KINDA LATCHES DO I NEED, THE PICTURE IS NOT MY CAR BUT I HAVE A HOOD LIKE THIS ONE,DONT REALLY WANT TO USE THIS KINDA SYSTEM THATS ON THIS ONE,ALL REPLIES APPRECIATED,THANK YOU. Yes that's a photo of my car but if I'm reading your post correctly, you want to use a hood top without hood sides and do not want to attach the hood using straps like I have.

A simple solution is to fabricate a spring and rod system with spring loaded rods at the front and rear of the hood that engage corresponding brackets at the cowl and radiator shell. This can be done on the cheap with items from around the shop and/or hardware store. Here are some photos I pirated that illustrate the procedure in practice:
