Did Willys ever make a Jeepster hard top? The more i look at it the more it looks like a Willys. Maybe its stock, made from a car builder that kicked it 60-70years ago. There are loads of car companies that nobody remembers anymore.

Judging by the REAR fenders, the rounded front fenders and the headlights that all appear original, I'm kinda thinking it PRE-dates the JEEP - like 1930's. Either that or it's some kind of European model. Could have been an original JEEP prototype - a lot of companies tried for that government contract when it was put forth.

A MarmonHerringtonCo. "JEEP" (pre-JEEP actually).

sure did, we spend 3 hours BS'ing in my basement. I actually ended up doing all the labor, he said he wanted to teach me. Then when i asked him what i owed him he says "dont worry about it, i have work i need done" I tell ya what, everytime i hear somebody say that it comes back to bite me in the ass. I figure it should've been a $150 bill.

Thats definatly not a commando! I know my Commandos, ive owned 3 of em.
But there are some real strong similarities between this thing and early jeeps, such as the outline of the doors, the windshield, and the shape of the rear quarters.

i'm thinking maybe an aftermarket body on a jeep or ford bronco frame(b/c ford motor) might be a south america ford or australian type rig......just my know-nuthin' opinion though:rolleyes:

if anyone knows fer-sure or find out, please post answer..

and hillbilly, i feel for ya---i get some of those freebies myself, and they always cost me more than i really want to pay!!!

Maybe try posting it on a War vehicle site or a JEEP site. I'm going to officially go with a Marmon Herrington Company product as my guess.
