I marked the rear end on the 50f1 when I took it out. When I try to hang the jag irs the wheel base on the drivers side is 113 3/8. On the pass side it is 114 as it should be. I measured from different points on the frame. The rear is dead square. And the Jag Ifs is on the marks. Could it just be the front end out of alinement.:confused:

Best thing to do now is to go back to the frame and cross measure that. then cross measure to the suspension mounts. Once you rule those out, I would check the measurments on the Jag suspension itself. Cross measure from good points and get some help to do it with as much accuracy as possible. When measuring leave the tires out from the measurments, they are usually not the same. I knew a guy who ran into a similar problem and it turned out to have a frame that was bent like a banana, a slight curve on both sides.

Hi Rusty

Ok I have some thoughts for you on this. I'm going to assume that the chassie is square. That is always the first place to look for a problem. I don't know what sort of front suspension your using, but if it's the original parrallel spring and solid axel you need to check a number of things here. First look to see if a main leaf is broken. Second, check to see if somehow one side of the axel has shifted forward or back from it's mounts. (this is very unlikely though) Three, make sure that the toe setting is correct and that both wheels are parallel on the front when you make your wheelbase mesurements to the rear.

If all this is good and the main mounting frame of the Jag rear is square to the frame then I'd be looking for bent suspension parts on the Jag rear. Possibly the lower control arm or the Knuckle itself could be bent. A quick way to check this would be to jack up the rear of the frame so you can spin the wheels. then get yourself something that you can place on the floor with a thin sharp edge that you can use to scribe a center line on both rear tires. Once you have that done you can measure between the tires front and back to see if they are square (running true to each other) If not you likely have suspension damage. Or at the very least need to do a toe setting for the Jag rear.

I hope this helps.

Thanks roddguy the front IFS is JAG as well as the rear. I checked the frame. It is a1/4 to 3/8 out of square. I'm trying to square it up now. I checked the rear irs it seems to be straight.
