I know this is a long shot, but I'm hoping someone can help.
This my first hot rod build, so sorry if this totally off the wall.
I bought a '95 Roadmaster as a donor car and I'm trying to use the front brakes & rotors in wiki conversion similar to:
http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/wiki/1937-1957_Buick_Oldsmobile_Pontiac_suspension_upgrade.
In that wki they use a drop spindle from CPP that matches a '63 Pontiac bearing surfaces. This spindle is sold by CPP in a kit that uses a '70s Chevelle 11" Rotor which matches the bearings of the '63 Pontiac. My '95 Roadmaster has 12" rotor with a hub rotor depth that is almost the same and matches the inner bearing of the other two rotors. The '95 Roadmasater outer bearing is larger though. The Chevelle/Pontiac uses an outer bearing with 1.781 OD, .76ID, .61 depth. The '95 Roadmaster uses a outer bearing with 1.9687OD, .8437 ID, and .690 width.
1) Does anyone know if there is a bearing that has ID of the '75 Chevelle and OD of the Roadmaster?
2) If not, is it possible to add a sleeve to the inner or outer bearing diameter that will allow the '95 rotor to be used on the Chevelle/Pontiac spindle?
Thanks

Sleeving may be an option. If you have 12" rotors on a spindle for 11" hows it gonna effect how your calipers gonna mount?

Thanks for the info. A sleeve on the spindle seemed like the best option if there is no bearing avail. Could shrink the spindle with dry ice for a tight fit.
I'll have to design a bracket to hold the calipers in the correct position.
DiscbrakeMike has said he would develop the new bracket for me, but it does not seem like rocket science so I might try it on my own.
1) Has anyone used DiscbrakeMike kits, and were they high quality.
2) Has anyone out there designed a caliper mount bracket and are there any tips you can share like material, heat treat req'd..etc.
Thanks

Might want to check with Scarebird Classic brakes..

I bought disc brake brackets for my 63 bonne that use the 63 pontiac spindles, 12inch 77 pontiac safari wagon disc's and late model calipers...works very well...the brackets came with a spindle spacer/shim that allowed the use of the bigger disc brake spindles....

www.scarebird.com is the web site.....just a thought....

Sgtpontiac,
Thanks for the info, you have validated my theory that a spacer sleeve may be a valid option.
1) Does anyone know if the brake calipers for a '95 Roadmaster have the same geometry as brake calipers of for a '77 Pontiac Safari?
If so, then I may be able to use my donor car parts with the kit that Sgtponiac used.
Thanks,
Mutt
