I Think

I could swear that summit or jeg's sells an assortment of bends in the catalog? and I think they were reasonably priced.hope this helps.

Any local muffler/exhaust shops close by? I had Mufflerman put a single 90 in 4 pipes and made up a header. Bought the pipe from them and they bent it for nothing. So I bought them a dozen donuts for their coffee break, and we were all happy. Sniper

The local muffler shop may also have bends they screwed up on. usually in a big bin bound for the scrap metal place. They sell that stuff cheap.

I didn't find what I need on Jegs, Speedway or J.C. Whitney. The closest I can come is those 180 bends and If I am going to invest $18 each in 8 of those just to get the 45 and have to but weld pipe to get what I want, I will just buy a speedway roadster pipe kit. I was hoping to get by a little cheaper.
Local muffler shops do those bends that smash the pipe half shut, kinda ugly. I was hoping to just find 45 mandrel bends in 1 1/2 ID, weld them on to the stubs from the old set of headers I hacked up for the flanges.

pipes

ive got the same ben pearson hydraulic pipe bender most muffler shops use. cant say that mine bends the pipes closed, it isnt mandrel bends but works fine 'less urs is a show car.... heres two sets ive made recently. the zoomies are not 45 degree bends though, there 35 on top and 52 on bottom. the lake style pipe has 1 50 degree bend on the front pipe. others are straight. i can do ya 45 degree bends in 1.5 inch for a cost of the stick (8ft) each about a foot long. which is about 18 bucks my cost. or double that if your going for the zoomie look. you pay for the ride... dp1

Google Schoenfeld Headers. They are in Arkansas. They ship and are the least expensive bends I have found. Their bender does leave clamp marks on the pipe though.

If you are concerned about leaving clamp marks - Try a custom motorcycle shop around your area M/C pipes are mandrel bent and leave no clamp marks.

You can get 2 45 degree bends out of a U-bend.:D If you could use 1 1/2" O.D, then 1 1/4" 90 degree EMT pipe is low cost. That is what I used on the HAMB dragster. You can see 'em in the build thread.

PICK up your SPEEDWAY cat. turn to page 220, look at item part number: 910-13870

1-1/2 pipe with a total of 3 90 degree bends for 12.99, just fab what bends you need from that. YOU AINT gonna get any cheaper than that. thats LESS than a stick of tubing cost wholesale.
