where to start

im a newb , what would be a good donor car to start a rat rod using frame and what ever i can use off it . I thought of a ford ranger any suggestions

s-10 chevy is a good start. i would go for the v-6 at least

It kind of depends on what you want it to look like in the end. If you are talking pick up cab style open fenders kind of rat, or full body, full fender rat.
