I was on ol'skool rodz web site when I passed over a posting about someone..( Or should I say WAS on this site..) named TXGASSER.I was floored when I read it...WOW,talk about sneaky. How can people be so low to do this..?!?!? I cant figure that part out. Here I was thinking about helping this guy out and BAMB..hes a liar.!! I know it takes all kinds BUT come on..!! Using ( might be fake.) your son to try and get parts.?!?!?! And for what..? I really dont understand what this world is coming to..:(

 good idea though, begging for free parts. I could build more cars with free stuff! Some people have no pride I guess............CR

I also did not like the begging. Sorry vets, no offense intended to you but my 2 nephews that did 5 years and 2-3 tours in Iraq as Marines are perfectly capable of aquiring anything they need for builds. That being said, I do help out an old Nam vet or two with free parts and swaps for his projects. I even go help one with moving stuff when he needs. I guess I am saying, if you want to help a vet, there should be some in your own community who are worth getting to know.

this has been going on for awhile it seems, here's a post from a biker site
in 2004...Same type of thing, different story...

"Good day, I am a Texas Vietnam vet and biker who were run off the road by a semi and left disabled and unemployed. With a 12 year old son that collects small motorcycle chapter/event patches, event patches and pins from groups around the world. We are writing to ask if you could donate a chapter or event patch or pin from your group. We would be grateful for any thing you could send. Many Thanks and Ride Easy!
