2" will be easy. I took 3.5 out of mine, lined up the back and moved the front post.
Here's a pic or two.
What I would do differently......
See the cut in the roof above the window? I would only make this cut and would not pie cut the post on the roof half, you can sorta see that cut also.
The cut in the roof worked best and I ended up making it as the pie cut did not work at all and just created more welding.
I would pie cut the lower post again but I would probably cut across the cowl also. Why? It would allow the windshield to line up better that is the only reason. Without cutting across the cowl the windshield bumpers had to be removed, then I had to cut along the rail (where the top of the dash sits) and squeeze it down to pull the windshield area in line with the top.
You can get away without doing this but it does require some lead work to get it all gap free.
The transverse roof cut was easy to hammer out and lead back in where it can't be seen, much easier than the work I had to do to fix the pie cut on the upper post.
You are more than free to give me a call or email me. Just send me a PM and I will send you my info.
One last note, I left the back window opening the same size as original. It is already pretty small and looks right with the chop.
