anyone know if ford changed body style on trucks between 35-39?

Yes they did. 1935 through 1937 are the same body style, but the body style changed for 1938-1939.

1935 and 1936 had the same cab. The hoods were different. The 35 the emblem was in the center and the 36 was in the front on the side. The 37 had a split windshield were the 36 and 35 had a flat windshield. The grill on the 37 was deeper and the bars across the grill. The 37 windshield frame is the same as the 38 and 39
The 1938 and 39 were completely different. They had three ribs along the belt line of the cab. It was the first years that the hood open from the front. The side panel below the hood could be removed. There are some different between the 38 and 39. The grill on the 38 had three center bars with the cross bars attached to the two outer bars. the 39 had 1 center bar with the cross bars attached to it. The windshield regulator handle on the 38 came out of the front of the dash and the 39 came out of the top. The hood ornament on the 38 had a cap between the ornament and the base the 39 did not.

cool thanks guys. trying to find patch panels for the doors and cab corners but prob have make my own..

The patch panels for those trucks are pretty easy to make. find some one with a metal brake. and you can flange the three side of the door patch panel.
