NRS valve covers

I found a set of NRS alum., finned valve covers for a small Chev.
Can anyone give me any background on that company?
I haven't found any good info. on the net.

I'm thinking of getting them for my A.
I've already thought of a good answer if anyone ask what NRS stands for....lol
But I don't think it would be politically correct to say it here.

nrs...nationwise rod shop............. hold on ill get more info...they seem to be really big in mopar stuff...tommy ivo was the owner i think or he was the driver...or both lol...it looks like advance auto parts took them over

Yep. Nationwise/Rod Shops. I'm pretty sure they were based out of Colombus, Ohio. I didn't know Tommy Ivo had anything to do with the company though. I thought they just sponsored his car. They sponsered numerous drag race cars in the 70's. I know they made valve covers for small block Chevys. My dad used to have some.

We lived in Cincinnati, Ohio up until 1978. The stores were pretty common there.
