Ford Ranger frame ?s

Is anyone out there familiar with the differences in frame dimensions between the different generations? I searched the web, went to the Ranger Station and other Ranger sites, but can't find good measurements of the different Ranger frames. Any help will be greatly appreciated! [cl

Not sure myself, but do know they dropped the twin I beam front end about mid 90's and went IFS with A arms.

I have an '87 Ranger frame that I can measure, tomorrow for you. I think right below the fire wall it's 33" outside to outside of frame rails, and then it gets a little wider as it goes back maybe to 34". The frame is skookum enough for your '56.
What measurements do you need?
