Glad I found this site. I appreciate the "Rat Rod" name not being taken too seriously. Other sites get really upset if you use it.

I'm building something in between a "rat rod" and a traditional hot rod. What I can afford while tryiing to stay true to the traditiaonl Hot Rod.

Fun and not too expensive. Kinda what god intended when he tempted teenagers with speed and no fenders!
 
Welcome to the site.Sounds like a good plan,about the same as mine.As close to traditional without spending a fortune,just to have some fun with.

We are kinda neighbors, I am North of Albany about 20 minutes. I travel thru your town to visit my daughter in Rochestor a lot. As you know we live in the area where rust never sleeps. We are the kings of "patina". Not sure but I use to love street rods but they are too store bought ($$$$$) for me. Rats rule for me..... Welcome aboard. These guys/gals are a great bunch here.
