Still trying to muster up the confidence to plunge into buying a pickup cab and get rolling. I'm not totally feeling capable just yet being I have no welding skills and my professional welder friend.. Well they've got him traveling all over the country so I'm left to my devices. And to top it off I'm a bit overwhelmed on putting together a cohesive attainable setup. Still finishing up my house but I'm getting close so I'll be looking to buy something soon..
Here's what I've got: pickup cab possible bed possible not, no roof to help cut down on fab, z'd frame to run 28" white walls out back not sure on the front, manual trans, blown something, transverse or semi elliptical front leaf springs, coil over rear, but making it work is more my concern, I have some pictures of a couple Rods I have seen that are close to where I'd like to be on my *first* rod cause I'm sure I'll be building them throughout the years, I'm just infatuated and it helps my lady is too
So I guess I'm just lost where to start yet feeling a bit... Under skilled after seeing everyone's work and knowing the quality I expect from myself it's discouraging, any words from the wise?
