so far everything works fine
been checking fluid levels and such the rear needed oil but these old things always weep unless you go nuts with a total tear down and replace every seal/gasket and use therightstuff formagasket
but thats a lotta time and a bit of moolah

Heater update
Almost done.
Just have to hook up four wires and decide where I want the heater switch.

Finished mine up this afternoon and my bride and I just got back from doing to dinner in it.
Heat is nice when it's cold out.
Stay after it.

i am not cutting a hole in my dash
so i have it laying on the floor in a baggy with the wires trailing to the heater
it works but it aint perty

I gave myself exhaust poisoning
there is a huge leak under the truck
and I got gassed three days ago
I can still smell and taste it
I ended up with flu like symptoms
today I am going to try and get under there and cut out the bad stuff and replace it

Exhaust fumes are a serous issue. They'll get ya before ya know it.

Muffler rusted and tail pipe is gone on that side

Yep you might want to fix that. You can put on a new exhaust system without a welder. Just piece it all together and clamp the joints good and tight.

About $300 here for a whole new dual exhaust on an older vehicle with no cats. Caddy is on deck for hers when spring comes and I get the new water pump installed so I can drive it.
