Honestly, I think it's at the perfect point. If you did a little more, you'd have to do a lot more.
It's like an image that's not completely in silhouette; just enough of both detail & suggestion.

late to the party...
Hey,
Sorry to dig this one up, since it's been idle for a while, I ran across it in someone's signature & had to get caught up (not sure how I missed it...it's AMAZING).
There were a number of comments about photo editors & I wanted to share what I use. It's an online web...
Neither the first, nor the last
My axle stock is hot rolled & therefore is slightly larger than it's advertised 5/8". Since the bearings in the pillow blocks are precision machined, I had to do some ghetto machining. The first pic is of my success with my redneck lathe (and wishing I had a...
coast to drive conversion
I finished up my spokes & got one of my coast wheels converted to a drive wheel before being called in last night.
Hopefully I can get the other taken care of tonight & start working on where I'm going to mount the front axle.

I post more than one all the time from my phone.
You have to make sure they're less than 220 Kb, first of all.
Secondly, you can only upload one per browse button.
I've posted a couple pics of the upload interface so you can see what it looks like as you add more than one.

When I was living in AZ, I had a post tension floor in my garage so I couldn't put floor pots in. Does your shop have post tension? Is there another reason you can't put them in after the floor is down?

Thank you, sir!
I was all excited to get the axles really going, but we had a pretty bad storm on Thursday & part of the fallout was that the bearing shop I went to didn't have any power...which means the credit card machine didn't work. Hopefully they're up & running on Monday or Tuesday...
foot room
I spent most of the day working on getting some additional space for my size 15s. You can see in the first pic that my big 'ole clunkers were a little cramped between the rails. So, I de-pinched the rails at the kickup. What I did was cut the seams through on the outside of the...
Good Friday was GOOD!
Thanks guys!
I agree, there is so much right about that rwd pedal car!
After running around picking up parts yesterday morning I was able to spend the rest of the day in the garage.
I figure the mockup deserves to be in a post all by itself!
Heading out to lunch...
...consumables
Thanks, rev!
Urgh...another night's progress stopped early by an issue with consumables.
I picked up 2 blades for my chop saw, stinkin' things are 1/8" thick. I wonder how many feet of tubing end up as dust on the floor. I guess I've gotten too used to the thin kerf cutoff...
As I was reading this, I was thinking, "If cornfield customs thinks they're cool little mounts, they're going to be AMAZING!!!"
...they are
If I were at a different stage in life, I'd move up there today to learn from you.

a hitch for your giddyup
If you're still looking for something to mount a pulling device to your floor with, I always thought these were cool.
Floor Pots
They have an integrated cap & are flush with the floor when not in use.

(woah that pic was bigger than I thought it was)
