Now I would love to see a ton of pictures and write up about this shifter. I have a Lokar with a 23" shifter arm on it. It looks cool but I have always thought that I might have to pay for the cool go give up the precision.. Pictures...

Yes Lord... I remember watching a 69 Camaro flip about 9 times at the end of the quarter once when the driver, Johny Ruth, flipped the shifter up into what he thought was nuetral. It wasnt.... Yes to some sort of lock out. This is a great thread This is from the thread this thread started...

Now see.. This is why I like this place. There is always a way to get it done without spending a ton of money. The whole thing with hot rods was to fabricate something from nothing. They werent parts installers....

Now we're talking. I wish I had pictures. I might just take those from Genie and this description and try it out. Did you figure out how to keep it out of reverse and to lock it in Park etc? That would be a little embarrassing to put it in Reverse going like crazy off of an off ramp....

Yep.. Round bar, chain, reBar, there are all sorts of things to fabricate the shifter arm from the shift knob to the guts of the shifter. My question is about the shifter itself. I mean the mechanism that you dont see.. That thing under the floor that has all the linkage.. I would call it...

Ok....Here comes one of those dumb questions.. I can imagine some way cool knobs and even the shifter running up as high as the dash.. My question is... What sort of shifter linkage etc can be made or fabricated that we do not have to spend $250 or so from Lokar or Genie.. Not that they are...

Bolt broke off flush This one is so good. Yes I am a little heavy handed....sausage fingers. So I broke off an EasyOut flush with the surface. I was trying to get a broken off bolt out well.... Here is the trick. My bolt was a 3/8 and the EasyOut was flush so I laid a 5/16 nut just on top...
