    I need help/ideas

    Okay, I'm working with a front axle off a 1950 Ford F1. I need help/ideas on how to hook up the "bat wings" on it. Here are a few pics of the right left and whole axle.

    Linkage bar....

    I'm using a 1950 Ford F1 front axle on my car, it's an I beam style. Anyone have pics or can tell me what kind of linkage bars I need to use? I know on a round axle you have radius rods that bolt up to plates welded to the axle, but I'm not sure about how they work on an I beam axle....

    Frame Height?

    is there a "Rule of thumb" as to where the height of the frame should be? I'm wanting final ride height to be 4" off the ground...

    Opinions please

    Okay, my frame is 122", well just a touch over. I currently have a 4.3 liter VORTEC that I plan on using. It's out of an S-15 Jimmy. I am thinking of taking all the "VORTEC stuff"off and putting new intake and carb on it. I'm thinking for my first Rat it's a good fit? Should be plenty of power...

    My build well so far....

    That's about it so far, I have a donor vehicle (1994 GMC Jimmy) that I am getting the motor (4.3 liter Vortech) tranny, rear axle, and a bunch of other stuff off of for my rat. Black primer for now, going to have it powder coated when I get the motor mounts tranny mount, front perch, and rear...
