1950's Chevy short bed pickup trailer

This is a good trailer built from a short bed Chevrolet truck bed and frame. I believe it is a 1955, 1956 or 1957 model but I could be wrong. It has a trailer type axle under it instead of the old differential. The bed could be used for a rat rod project if you need a bed for your rat truck...

    'Sleepers' section!

Sleeper Here's the closest thing to a sleeper I have... it's a little grandma looking 62 ChevyII wagon we've had since the early 90's. When we bought it, it was totally original and belonged to a little old lady who bought it new and she had recently passed away when we got it. It had 16,xxx...

I can vouch for the fact that he had to pull a LOT of nails out of the framing lumber that went into that building, lol! :D

Sbc cam bearing replace with crank still in? Can it be done?

Like everyone else said, take it all the way apart and check everything out... where there's smoke, there's fire. If they screwed up the cam install, what makes you think they didn't totally screw up the rotating assy install too? Also if you are putting a hydraulic flat tappet cam in it make...

    Shop Heat

No matter what you use to generate the heat, insulation is critical to keep costs down. The better you insulate it the easier it is to control the temp. My 36x48 garage stays fairly cool on hot days and is pretty easy to heat on cold days because I insulated it fairly well and made it pretty...

Tech tip: Drive shaft geometry and phasing explained simply

Not sure if this has been posted before or not but it's worth the 2 minutes to check it out... Check this link and video out to understand why the drive shaft angle relative to the engine and transmission and u-joint phasing is so critical. :cool...

Check out this Rig Job! WTH!

Well I'd be happy to but I sold the truck already. You can check out my build thread which might give you few more shots of it that might help you figure your's out. Here's my build thread, it's actually 2 builds in 1 thread, I did a 48 the 1st time then a 53 the 2nd time. The radiator support...

Check out this Rig Job! WTH!

The way the front of the AD trucks are made they come off pretty easy anyway... just a few bolts at the back of the fenders, unbolt the strut rods from firewall and a couple bolts under the radiator support. I just modded the factory radiator support and kept it simple.

Check out this Rig Job! WTH!

Wow, I've done a couple S10 swaps and looked at lots of others and I have never seen something that crazy to get around the radiator support/steering box dilemma... That is amazing considering the radiator support holds the whole front end up. That is just

    51 AD 5 window

I have done 2 of these swaps. The first one was on a 89 short bed. Here's a link to see how I did it. Not the only way to go about it but food for thought for ya at least: http://www.killbillet.com/showthread.php?16296-1948-Chevy-5-window-on-an-s10-frame-(step-by-step) The frame horns need to...

55 Series one.. another project followed me home. Your standard AD on S10 build..

Nice score on the truck and parts. That bed looks very similar to how I did both of the S10 swaps I've done... works great. [;)

388 ci tunnel ram dual carbs. flat spot fix.

I would just go up on squirter size. Normally a lean stumble can be cured with a larger squirter size. Normally a 30cc pump is enough. Also take the carbs off and look at the relationship of the bottom of the throttle blades and the transfer slot. Only about .020"-.030" of the transfer slot...
