    Blown I 6

Aussie Stuff Cool engine. I have a pal that has a Dodge wayfarer roadster. Put a slant 6 in it with a very interesting cylinder head that he had shipped to him here in Oregon from Australia. :-) TLouisJ

    34 pick 'em up truck.

AA TT frames Most folks don't think of using an early truck frame...I built my RaTT rod on a '25 TT frame. 50% thicker gauge steel than the Model A car frame I was gonna use, plus bigger throughout. Means I didn't have to box it. Good truck that you are starting. I like it. TLoisJ

international something truck what is it

International KB1 I know this post is a year old but I'm just now reading it. It is a '41-'49 International KB1 1/2 ton pickup alrighty. The one you have is a '41. I've had one of each and though they are virtually identical, the post year front ends had stainless steel grill bar strips and...

RaTT Rod w/the mighty 300 Ford inline

RaTT 300 I guess the point is that it's not a small or big block V8 anything. Also, changes one would do to raise HP would raise the torque range accordingly. Stock with stock intake/carb the max torque comes in at under 2000 rpm. I've seen figures of 260 ft lbs at 1700 rpm. Even the...

    39 Chevy Truck Finally Chopped

Amazing how many of you RRR guys dive right in and tackle such tough jobs as a top chop, and do it well! It makes me want to chop my RaTT Rod. Wait, I forgot, I'm building a roadster. Cancel that thought. GOOD JOB. I like it.

RaTT Rod w/the mighty 300 Ford inline

300 inline Thirsty? Well if you do the math, each cylinder displacement would be the same as a 400ci 8 cyl. Those big holes gotta be filed with something. Nature abhors a vacuum. :-) TLJ

    '54 Studebaker project start

54 Stude sbc engine I once had a '65 Stude Daytona with a 283 ci Studebaker V-8. Of course it was really a factory install of a 283 sbc from GM Canada, but it had Studebaker valve covers and air cleaner. Find those parts and putt'em on your sbc and that way it could stay. That's a great...

    Damn, axle seal leaking

Leaky 9" seals Yup, need new seals. Had a Pontiac 12 bolt RE in a '59 Chevy 1/2 ton once that had a leaky seal even when replaced. I suspected a slightly warped axle housing tube caused by heat in the welding of spring perch pads and other attachments. Yours has gotta be the missing seals...

RaTT Rod w/the mighty 300 Ford inline

1925 Model TT (Ton Truck) frame makes it a RaTT Rod. At the perfect moment I stumbled across a rebuilt 70's 300 engine. C/L and swap meets parts later: Chromed Ford valve cover, Offenhauser dual plane, Edelbrock 500cfm carb,Ford FI split exhaust, oil cooler from a Pratt & Whitney radial...

    RaTT Rod PARKING BRAKE

RaTT Rod parking brake Thanks guys, The handle is not gonna be in a quick, easy to reach location, and would just lock it up. If I lost my brakes, I probably wouldn't go that route anyhow. :-) TLJ

    RaTT Rod PARKING BRAKE

Hi, I did search and find a "Parking Brake/Emergency Brake" thread but it is several years old so here's a new question: On my RaTT Rod, the drivers side emergency brake set up will be fairly straight forward to fabricate and hook up, but the passenger side will be difficult. Is there any...

    '46 Chevy 'Twice Ton'

TLouisJ Chevy 2T chop Wow, What a brave person! Even with the low purchase price, that's a hard cab to base your inaugural chop. I can picture trying a model A....maybe. Looks like you are winning. Keep us posted. QUESTION: What are the rest of your plans for the build? :-) TLJ

    1949 ih kb3

TLouisJ KB3 Awww...a classic Korn Binder. I've had 3 over the decades. '46 KB1 with a 283 sbc, a stock '37 pickup, and a '41 KB1 panel truck with a KB3 front end that I put a 261 ci Chevy 6 into. Don't ask me why I did that. Shoulda used the Black Diamond 6 from the KB3. Love those old...
