    My 52 Dodge Pickup..

Thanks for all the kind words. I was very uneasy about making the first cut, so I told myself "Just cut the dang thing!"

    My 52 Dodge Pickup..

Decided to start the top chop before pulling the cab off. Started by removing 5" from the back of the cab. My son and I had talked about doing a wedge chop, so I'll get the back buttoned up and see where it goes from there.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. When I get the cab back off, I have to put in a couple more crossmembers and drive shaft loops, so I was going to rethink the trans crossmember as well.[;)

    My 52 Dodge Pickup..

Yes, the pedals are gonna be a bit tricky. The steering box actually sits right behind the box, pedals are coming from the floor about in the original location, but we'll see how this all works out....fingers crossed.[S

    My 52 Dodge Pickup..

Got the 4-speed hump added to the trans tunnel today. I think the floors are in enough to pull the cab and finish them from the outside. Finally looks like some progress.

Also sold my "street legal Yamaha WR450 to buy an Enderle 8 stack fuel injection for the Hemi. It was something my son was planning on doing. He was constantly texting pics of old Hemis with the old Hilborn and Enderle stacks. I am actually going to convert it to EFI to help with the streetability.

    My 52 Dodge Pickup..

Well, got the garage straightened out enough to back on the boy's '52. Started by cleaning it out, sure can fill up with junk in 3 or 4 years. After that, I reassessed the floor situation, which was actually just a staring session. I did some measuring and started cutting away. Not a lot of...

    My 52 Dodge Pickup..

This was my son and I's project we had been working on together. He had kind of put it on the back burner and gotten heavily into the first gen Dodge Cummins pickups. Last summer he had sold off his main Cummins, then later in the fall had sold off his other Cummins project and was planning on...

That's a solid looking truck. Great to see another Pilothouse Dodge. I'm building a '52 with my son. Have fun with your build however you decide to go. Just my opinion, but I'd definately keep it all MoPar

Thanks for the welcome guys. We think these are cool trucks also. The one we're doing has been passed down from my Grandpa to my Dad, then Dad gave it to my son two years ago for a graduation gift. We had a few of these trucks as I was growing up and Dad currently has a '54 Dodge truck that is a...
