The console looks killer but the gauges almost look like Bender from Futurama LOL Looks like a robot face :)

OMG, now every time I look at it's grinning at me like Bender - must be the fulfillment of a childhood urge to build a robot. And to think it even has a compartment too... I'll have to keep a cigar and a couple bottles of Slurm in it :D.

LMAO!!! [cl

But it really does look awesome!!! you do amazing work!!!

Holy crap! I don`t check in for awhile, and you go and turn the caddy into a freaking robot.....
Rediculous :p

And the console. "Oh, I had some spare metal, so I threw this together while I was waiting on my coffee to get done" :D

Kudos on the progress, especially love the grill, flows well with the car.

I got the rad shop to build me a custom radiator with 4 rows of tubes. Made mounts for it, it has a slight tilt to fit inside the shell. Then I got busy and made a fan shroud fro 18ga. steel, also made a front deflector to keep air going into the grille from going around the rad, similar to the original piece. Just have to make a top filler piece where the cardboard pattern is sitting on the top tank.

I decided to make an under dash mount for a CD player, gave it a bit of shape to echo the detail on the upper dash piece, used the bead roller to add some detail to the edges. It also helps hide the heater a bit. After making it, the square front end of the console didn't match too well so I redid it with a curved front piece.

More interior work. Added a metal strip around the perimeter of the roof to attach a tack strip, welded on tabs and made the headliner bows from 3/16" ss rod. Still need to add some more framing around the rear seat area to mount interior panels.
Funny thing, after removing all the old wood framing, I'll need to put some new wood in some places to attach the upholstery.

Well, time to move the Caddy into the corner for the holidays. Got a lot done since this time last year - the body was just an empty shell then. Most of the big fabricating is done, things that are left to do will get taken care of during the final build up. When I start back on it in the spring, the body comes off, frame gets all the finish welding, rebuild the rearend, go through the engine ,then paint up the whole chassis and running gear. Hope to get the body back on in May, on the road by end of June (fingers crossed).

Enjoy the holidays, ZZ. Thanks for taking us along on your build of an amazing and rare car. I'll look forward to your return and the completion of your stunning Caddy.

Factoid: General Motors of Canada built a grand total of 166 Cadillacs in 1934.

Not sure how I missed this build, but this thing is SEXY!
GREAT work! Proportions are perfect, chop is exactly what it needed, and the overall look is spectacular!
I'll be following the rest of this one for sure!

I'm ready for him to get back to the great white north and get back to work.:D[;)[;) Do love this build
