1936 Chevy truck door setup.

Hey guys, just picked up a new project 1936 chevy truck cab. I was just was curious if anyone here has messed with a 36. I was wondering what people have done for the a pillar (hinge post) as it has wood to mount the hinges. I'm going to have to rebuild it minus the wood, was up for ideas and some good advice and what other guys might have done.

Thank you very much for that. Definitely a great link. Any idea a good site to find hinges? The door hinges are there just not for the hinge post. I think I'm going to end up making them, I can only find one hinge at a time. The site I could actually find them wants 45 a piece.

You can change out your door posts and dash rail for 37-38 ones and get rid of the wood. But it's best to find an old donor cab because those parts bring crazy money on ebay.

Welcome to RRR, I am also from Indiana and have several sets of doors for your truck. I may have some hinges on some of them. I will try to take a look the next time I'm at my storage.
