1939 chevy car hood on truck??

Does anyone know if a 39-40 car hood fit on a truck. I don't have a car hood to try. I am assuming the car hood is longer and I want more room. will the fit at the cowl and at the grill with little work.

The car and truck are different in many ways, different grille shells, different cowls, different profiles. Car hood is 2 pieces, truck is 4 pieces, etc., etc.

Here's a '39 truck and a '39 car for comparison...

The '40 car hood is different again. It's a one piece "alligator" style. Same challenges apply...

That being said........wouldn't that '39 car hood along with the center grille section look sweet on a fenderless truck. [dr Surely it could be done with a little massaging.
