I'm going to channel it how much do i cut out .and should i cut the whole floor out. i want to lower cab and box at the same time .and keep the running boards on and back fenders. i have my bosses plasma cutter . like to do it this weekend. before i have to return it.any ideas and picks will be greatly appreciated thanks

Have you looked at the rear cab mounts? They are very strange and I think you would have to remove the whole floor and fab new mounts for the rear of the cab. Why not just lower it, that is what I did with mine. Drop axel and lowering blocks in the rear . Nice looking truck.
 
Here is mine. Unfortunately for sale. These pics are with a '79 Firebird front clip, but it sat almost as low with the drop axle.

1953 f100 build

nice truck she is low really like it. haven't decided what to do yet . got to get it low to the ground lower the better thanks for pics
 
You are welcome for the pics. I think if keeping straight axle, you can get different springs for the front and a drop axle. That should get you where you want. If you swap to a IFS like me, that is the way mine sits with stock suspension, and you get disk brakes, power steering and it sits low without much else. Good luck whichever way you go.
