1955 ford open wheel rat

ive have the start of a 1955 ford f100 rat going on. it sits on a nissan king cab frame cut off right behing the rear spring. a buick 300 v8 and auto. a early farmall grill shell.

the beginning

this is what i started with. i purchased the ford last fall it came with a extra cab and doors. thinking of a chop top.

the strip down and start of the build

stripped the nissan down to bare frame and power washed. and set the cab on the frame

engine and tranny and lights

next was the motor and tranny and headlights go on.

about 4 weeks later i brung the truck home to my place and started on the bed tail lights and exhaust. and doors got put back on still needing glass for cab. and the exhaust needs to be finished.

driving!

now after a custom power steering line was made.($65.00) the truck is running and driving. have had at the local cruise in and planning on taking to another in a couple weeks. still tossing around the idea of some color tinted primer to make everything a solid color. think of keeping the teal cab and just shooting the bed and grille shell a close match. it has taken about 2 month to get this far with it

its my buddys 1952 international 2 1/2 ton cab and front clip sitting on a 80's model s10 with a 305. needs finished.
