Has anyone extended the back of the cab on a 27 Ford pick up? I'm wanting to build a fenderless hot rod and I've ran up on theb 27 and a 42 chevy truck. I'm 6ft and the early fords don't have no room. The 27 has no bed, build my own, and was being pro streeted. Chopped 4 inches already, so I thought if I could add 6 or 8 inches to the cab, at least, Z frt and rear frame, I could make a decent looking rod that would be comfortable to drive. I think there is another frame so I wouldn't use the 1 they narrowed.

Lengthen the doors and top
I personally don't like the looks when they are done like an extended cab.

The phonebooth T can be stretched, but to do it enough to be useful, it doesn't look all that good, IMHO. I would go with the Chevy if all else is equal. It is about the same size as my 39 Ford PU, maybe a tad bigger. With proper planning, I was able to fit it to my 6'3", 270-ish self. No chop, high seat cushion, thin seat back, optimal steering wheel location, and you are in.
