This is my first build, I got it with the frame and suspension work started. It was a 5 window coupe, now its a roadster. Power is a Ford 429 and C6 auto. Chevy 12 bolt posi with 4:11 in the rear. I have been getting the body squared up and have the passenger door hung suicide so far. Let me know what you think.

The frame is the original, with a lot of boxing and a few more cross members. The motor is a torque monster and I don't want to end up with a big pretzel if I jump on the loud pedal and it hooks up. I think on the next project I will build a custom frame.

that sure looks like a handful!

...but you do know that it is illegal to put a ford motor in a chevy in at least 17 states and puerto rico..........:D;)

seriously though, that is really looking good - and you're not the only one around the RRR that has a ford powered chevy---bonehead and billy both have ford powered chevy trucks:D

This is alot of fun when all you have is the floppy outer skin.

Floopy outer skin on not! It looks like you got it under control. It's gonna be worth the work because it's unique.

I need a little help. I am going to use a gm one wire alternator. Does any one know where I can get some conversion brackets for the 429 to be able to use it? I know I should fab a set but would like to know that the belt wont fly off at high rpms.

Well it's been a year full of new house chores and a couple vacations and I had drifted away from the build. I have found the ambition to get back at it. I got the motor put together the way i like it and am working on the floor now. Here are a couple pics of the progress.
