On the drivers side of my cab. The door isn't fitting so well. I want to get this fixed before I suicide the doors and chop the top. After closer inspection the floor is starting to separate from the cab on the drivers side (the cab is sagging a little lower). Is this a huge problem to fix? Has anyone delt with anything like this? Any advice would be helpful.

The cabs bolt together right at the front of the door, If this is rusted to bad It will have to be reinforced.I dont have any good pics but the front cowl, cab mount and rocker support all meet up there.I replaced the floor with plate in mine to strengthen after I cut out for my tranny.

Thank You. There is a huge gap between the lower driverside of the cowl and the front of the door. Also the panel just below the door is hanging about a half inch lower than the rest of the lines on the truck.

Here are a few pics of what I am talking about.

The first and second pic are of the front and rear lower part of the drive side door. The third pic is of the inside of the driver sides door jam. The 4th is the driver side rear of the cab....it shows how the spot welds have broken free and no longer attached to the floor. The last three picures are the passenger side....this is how it is supposed to look.
I know it's going to be a rat rod but I have been told that I want the doors pretty straight before I start cutting or it will make bigger problems down the road. Any help would be appriciated.

i replaced the whole floor structure in my cab, so I know all about getting it to line back up. My suggestion to you would be to put a couple of ratchet straps around the cab and carefully pull it back together and once you get it lined back up weld everything in

The three bolts by the door are what ties the rear of the cab to the front.

Thank you, I was at Jim Carter's (OldChevyTruck) today. Lucky for me they are only 15 minutes away. They told me the same thing. Just use some ratchet straps and slowly squeeze it back together. They also told me that the door hinges where probably sagging and pushing the section below the door down. The said that dirt and crap gets in that lower driver side cowl panel and causes is to seperate and it would need to be replaced. All in all it isn't as big of a deal as I had thought. So that is good news. Now if I could find some 1/2 ton spindles to swap out I will have all the major componets.

Not to jack your thread, but I found this seeking dimensions for 41 chevy truck cab. Wondered what the width of the firewall at frame was. Keep at it.
