thx guys the 41 has a 496 pump gas chevy \ alum. heads, a lenco ST1200,ford 9' detriot locker \ 3.73 gears and I do drive it on the street. 5 mpg

it runs 11.0's on motor and I can't post what it runs on nitrous! I do grudge race this car (at the track of course) and have won several trophies with it. My 52 rat has a chevy V6 with a 700R4 trans. and I hope to get 28mpg with it. I do plan on making this my daily driver.I'll post more pics as the build continues......Pat

thx for all the comments. My 41 is a all steel car.If you notice the hood is not factory,well the top is but I cut the sides and the front off.I took a string and ran it from the rear body line to front to get the angle of the hood.the original hood was 10" longer and 8" higher.It gave the car a "bent" look.I took the front lower grill chin off and lovered the grill 8" and then I "learned" after many mistakes how to use a english wheel to form the front of the hood,and welded it on.I also made new sides and left a opening. The hood slides fwd and up to open.Thats how I was able to get the hoodscoop so close to the winsheild.It took me 14 yrs. to complete this car,and she's part of the family.
