41ford onto 48 ford sheetmetal????

i,m getting a 1947 ford two door sedan,but i want to put a41 ford front clip on it ? I been told that it is not just simply a bolt on and go job?
can anyone tell me egzactly what is involved in the swap???
And how low i can exspect to get it if i keep the strait axle and go drop axle with some lowwering tricks? want to go as low as i can .[no bags.]

I have a friend with a 46 that has a 41 front end on it - he bought it that way but I don't think it's too massively difficult. The basic shape of the cowl where it meets the hood and fenders is basically unchanged from 41 to 48 though there are likely some differences in how it mounts to the rad support and to the frame, etc.
With a 4" drop axle, reversed spring eyes on a flatter spring, you may be able bring it down about 6"
