47' dodge truck

Well this is my first, but not last, rat rod. I just finished up my 69' stang fastback, but Im a truck guy so I wanted to build something new. There is not a true rat rod around here, alot of junk that shouldnt be on the road,but no cool rat rods.o I want to build something really cool. Here is my start on a 47' dodge truck that I traded for and dont have a dime in it yet. I chopped it 5 1/2" in the front, 5" in the rear, and 3" out of the back glass, 2" below it. I am getting ready to start my frame so this RRR will be my main research site. I will be running a 226 flathead ford 6cyl. with a 3 speed trans. that I am getting out of my dads 51 ford f1 that he is street rodding. I will try to keep pics up to date.

I had always considered these trucks hard to find, and harder to find anyone doing anything but resto on them. Now that I've hopped on the tripleR, all kinds of rodders got one of these- of course it helps that so many model years had the same look.....

Nice job on the chop.
I just bought a 47' Dodge cab and front end. Not sure if I'm going to chop it or not but after seeing yours I just might break out the grinder and cutting discs.

Could you post a pic of how it looks with the hood and fenders?
