Thank you, I hope it comes out as good in real life as it looks in my drawings lol....
I seem to overwork myself quite often... so yea I guess I don't waste a lot of time heh heh

HA and HA again........ Wish I had time to, but not thinking so. Plus I am going out of town tomorrow night. Headed for Cadillac to do some four wheeling.

Moving along on the frame...

I think things are going well, trying to not be a perfectionist on making all the measurements perfect from side to side... corner to corner is looking good too...
Having some fun now... [;)[;)[;)

Time to grill the back side of the frame...

Finished up the top half of the frame, everything I could get to...

Pics are good... I think I am pretty happy with the overall, very little twist over 140" (less than 3/16")
Hopefully it stays that way after welding up the bottoms, and adding the fish plates..[;)\\

If there was a Similie for "Jealousy" you'd see a whole row of them here.

The frame is looking outstanding.

Frame looks great ! Man it would be nice to have a shop like that , oh, and that frame table , no clutter, I'd never go back in the house !!

Thanks for the comments!

Yea, it is a huge change from working in my garage and slowly turning around so that I don't bump into something... I am very lucky to have access to the shop where I work, or this frame would be going much more slowly... The table is one of our die build tables they were not using, so they let me borrow it for a bit.

Someday I will have a huge pole barn, thats all I know...[cl

Sorry, Genetics has a lot to do with the size of your pole barn....[cl

On a side note I really like the frame. It is refreshing to see something more to the frame instead of just straight box rails. [P

Honestly, if I could have kept it straight I probably would have. I wanted to make sure I had a little extra room under the cab so that I can fit the power brake booster. Especially if I had to move it toward the driver's side as a result of the transmission & tunnel size. And it also worked out where I needed different widths front and rear to work with the components I decided on...

The good thing is, the owner of the company I work for told me the other day that I could send over the plates I need for the fish plates, and have them all laser cut :) That will speed up the fab time for sure!

:D on the pole barn!
Seriously, I would rather have a larger barn than a larger house...

Interior stuff lined up tonight

Tonight I dropped off the seats to the guy who does upholstery, decided on a 60 T-bird look in crimson on the outside and ivory inside panels... I also have a higher backed seat for some head rest comfort =) I have some pics of the style, but slightly different colors... plan on having some door panels fabbed up eventually too.

Really want that 50s look to the inside.

Tomorrow, frame welding, and getting some items off to laser to get cut.

on to pics:

Frame is looking awesome, love the interior color idea. As for the pole barn-the misses was just reaming my $$$ the other day about building a bigger shop. She's tired of all the bikes and crap I have stored in the basement. Kick'in around the idea of trading my 70 vette to have a big pole barn built.

Wish it was my shop, it is where I work however.

Tonight I finished up all the butt welds, and other welding I can do without the fish plates.

Hoping to get those to laser tomorrow sometime, probably finish all that welding next week so I can bring home the frame and start the fab work for all the mounts...

minor progress

Have been really busy lately, not much in the way of progress, now waiting on my fish plates to be cut. Tonight I re-assembled the bumpers, and caps with the new 2.5" inlets and all cleaned up on the inside of the bumpers which are sprayed with 2000+ degree paint not that it will ever see that, but hey hopefully it will stop the corrosion for a long time... Still need to clean up the chrome a little on the outside but they are still ratty enough for the build

Also soldered the ignition wires all back together where they were cut, and also the areas where the hack alarm shop had cut-twist-taped their crap in..

On to the fun stuff, pics....

Messin around with some color on the truck...

Small update, hoping to get the tires put on the rear rims maybe tomorrow if I have time.
I have to go pickup a set of tires for the daily driver that I found on CL.

Almost forgot, hopefully monday I'll have all my fish plates...

Anyhow, looking at something a little different on color, similar to the colors for the seats, ivory(shell) and red, so we will see still tossing around ideas)
