what engine came in the 54 buick special? looks like a nailhead? how easy is it to get parts for this engine?

It should be a nailhead. If it is the original v8 in the Special it will be the smallest at only 264 cubes. The Super and Century had the "Big" 322 cu in engines. Parts for yor basic rebuild should be easy to find. Probably Kantor Auto supply.
