Hey Gang,
Haven't been on here in a while... I work and I work and sometimes I sleep! Took a little time to play recently and started mocking everything up on the 79 chassis. I had to cut a 5" wide band out across the back at the bottom of the cab to make it sit level. The 79 frame contour is different from the 62. Added front sheet metal (rust metal??!!) to make sure the wheel is positioned properly. So far it seems OK. The 79 chassis came with 2 1/2" dropped spindles on the front and a 3" or 4" drop to the back, but it still looks too tall. I'm gonna go with 2" dropped springs in the front and an axle flip for the back. I sure could use some good doors and front fenders if you guys or gals have any good leads! It has come a pretty good way from where I started (pic 4) last August!
