Ive had this truck for a few years and havent had much time to do anything with it. I have finally sold off the fleet and am down to my daily driver, this truck and a bunch of two wheeled machines. Ive accumulated a lot of parts for this truck over the years and have them in the loft at the garage. With warm weather finally coming around I decided to get it running and start on it.

My plan is to install the air ride components I have, Fix the holes, replace the windshield, redo the interior and paint this thing. Ive got a gallon of satin black that I need to put on something (not very original I know)

So here are some photos as it is today

One of my most favorite old trucks!

I was with ya till ya said satin black. That is the most over dun thing I have seen. I think air ride with some slightly larger wheels maybe 17 or 18" and like sarge said, a little bit-o-chop.

Probably stick with stock wheels for a while, doing this on a budget. I know black is way overdone but its what ive got. I can always go back and do it again down the road sometime.

Hi, Looks like you got a tin bashing project to do. It's a good straight truck so you'll have something when you're done. Black is my favorite colour, so you got my vote. Keep on tinkering.

I cant wait to start body work. Thats actually one of my favorite parts of working on something.

Got the lower A-arms off today and will be taking them to have new ball joints pressed in as well as my cups welded into place. Hopefully I can get the front air ride all set this week.

I had a little bit of time so I got a little more done on the control arms. Got the disc brake kit yesterday and hope to have it all hung on Monday.

Got a lot done today. Got the spindles in place, rotors mounted and bags installed on the front. I need to fix the lines so they are run properly and get them tied together so I can air it up and down without a pump or compressor (that comes at a later date)

Did you ever consider a York compressor to run the bags?

Just wondering....?? :D

Well I know they put out enough to air your bags plus...

I havent gotten that far yet. Got some good info on them?

and enough to run impacts and air tools....and with a small storage tank all you'd have to do is flip the switch to engage the clutch..all the air you'd need....have to build the brackets to mount it but I'll try to get hold of the pics a friend of mine did his chevy 4x4 with one....used it for his swamp buggy to air tires or run air tools....his was on a switch that allowed him to turn it on and off as needed....could even have a pressure switch set up to shut down the clutch when the tank is full.....They used these on most older fords, amc's and jeeps and I think you can still get remans.....

That would be excellent if you could find photos. Ill have to look into that for sure, might be a better way to go

You can also check out the jeeptech.com/body/york/

they have a good article about it there.....not for the same use as yours but good info about using it....in the mean time, i'll dig for those photos....
