Thanks for the kind words fellows, I haven't metal finished the hood yet. It is all tacked on but not smoothed out enough to where I wanted to get a pic of it. Maybe I can smooth it out and take a shot this weekend

This weekend we spent the day working on the transmission tunnel. They seem like something easy to build but always turn into a project and a lot of time. We are pleased with the way it turned out though.

We got a lot done on the car today, my dad relocated the throttle pedal and ran the throttle linkage. He also setup his brake pedal like he wants it. I made some wheel well fillers, still have to add a couple small pieces in the corners. Last but not least we tore it down for final welding.

Almost forgot to update this. Since we tore the chassis down I went ahead and smoothed out all the frame from the firewall forward. We got it prepped, primed and painted. Also put it back together.

Also he got new coilovers

Forgot brakes are totally finished, fuel line ran and just have to bolt check chassis bolts and that sums up most of the chassis

Thanks for the compliments, I know he is itching to get it going. Car shows, swap meets and other projects are slowing us down a bit right now.

Well as most people know life gets in the way of some things and building cars are one of them. Anyway we have had a lot going on and just got back on the car the other weekend. We decided to get the engine up and running to check leaks and what not.

Here is a quick video and sorry forgot to turn the iPad sideways when filming. My dad is super excited now.

Thanks fellas, the build has went from a rat rod to a more traditional rod. We will being painting the body a burgundy and finishing off all the bodywork. He has had other projects, one being the elcamino in the background that have not been completed. So we figured we would finish this one off for a nice cruiser.

Been a long time since a update, I took the body over to my uncles garage which is across the street from my house. It's where I do most of my work. Anyhow took it their in July and planned to knock it out quicker being right at my house but still not done with it. These old Chevys are a bear and basically have to make every last piec down to the door Jambs and all. It's been a major task with this body. Here are some more updated pics
Here is the jambs when I started on them
