some more pics of the "finished(?)" truck--it still needs new glass, exterior door handles, and some other stuff, but i've got it on the road so its a major accomplishment for me....:D

last couple of pics are w/sideboards made for the parade and "advertised" our church--which is why the pic was took in front of our church-building....

Very Cool! I like those old Fords. Good work, makes me want to go to church more often! LOL!

thanks-that is part of my job-getting people in church- and i'm not above using that truck to help in that area....

"if we can get 'em in the door--they'll hear about the LORD!;)"

and thanks gastrick--i loved the "antiqued" treatment of the pic!![cl

Snazzy. What you runnin' for a motor?

its the (yawn here) usual 350 chevy...bored .040 over, 280 comp cam,--after putting the truck on the roadi got a chance at a set of better heads-[dr 1969 double-hump heads(w/acc. holes) 202 int./160exh stainless valves "Z28" springs, an old torker intake with oil fill tube and a pcv valve installed in rear, because of the 283 script valve covers have no holes in them ....its all painted chevy orange including the intake, and topped with a holly 750 vac-sec and a modified chevy truck breather.....as of now, running old 68 chevy truck ram horn manifolds, 2 1/4" exhaust and 18" cherry bombs

...the "theme" was inspired by an old 47 ford my dad put a 57 chevy 283 power-pac motor in way back in 1965.....

old-school "shop truck".....i think we pulled it off pretty well;)

hope i'm not wasting anyones space -----

there is no way a cool truck can be a waste of space , we live in the time and era with trash all over the internet ---Use as much space as you like brother ! :)

Very nice truck Preacher !! When I was 16 I bought a set of those double hump heads without the bolt holes for a Nova. It was at that point I had to learn the art of making my own car parts :D
