Nice lookin' truck, Bob.[dr Wish we still had old crap like that here in the rustbelt...Here, our crap is actually, well...crap.
Sounds like a good plan. Why not grab some Rustoleum, try and mix up a colour close to the original and paint it with a brush like you did the Pee Wee Morris car. Farmers used to do that all the time, anyway, so it'll look "authentic" and it will age and dull (or "patina" if you prefer), faster.
Wide steelies painted to match or contrast with dog dishes and FAT blackwalls. That's all she needs.
Can't wait for the build thread.[P
